I was truly relieved to find that I was "not" losing my mind. I finally got my "head" around this stitch. Very informative. Wish I had had this site before I "lost" my mind altogether. thank you ...cin

The instructions for a afgan I'm trying to knit call for a right twist and left twist. The right says to knit second stitch on left needle, then purl the first stitch letting both stitches drop off left needle together. The left twist says working behind first stitch on left needle ,purl into the back of second stitch making sure not to drop off, then knit the first stitch letting both stitches drop off left needle together. When I do the RT I do get just two stitches but the LT gives me the look of a yo with three stitches.I am putting the yarn to the front to do the purl. I'm a self taught knitter as we have nothing nearbye and this has just thrown me.Should I just use your method or do you have any ideas.
Thanks so very much,
Pam

I had the same question before reading this article because I didn't know what mock cable was so now I have excellent information to begin my own project, actually that's my hobby.

Shirley Lewis mother of 6 not much time to knit!!!!

Before your experienced knowledge was found I undid a project 5 times because I thought I was not reading and working my stitches correctly. I was so excited to find your explanation on how to match the rt and lft twisted stitch. I can't wait to see if this will fix my problems with the way the pattern was looking each time I started knitting the left slant.....
Thank you so much for sharing your love of the yarn......

I am a mother of 4 small children and 2 grown, so I can't spend alot of time frogging. I love when I can find a pattern and just keep going until it's done...
